What is the Studio Tour about?

This annual art event is an effort of working artists in the lower half of the Eastern Shore of Virginia to give their patrons and collectors first pick from the works the artists have been creating over the winter for their upcoming exhibition season. Designed for “day-trippers,” this open studio tour is free to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, and features twelve artists at five exciting studio stops, plus a new special stop at the Chatham Vineyards where complimentary tours and tasting accompany the “Object Project,” a special exhibit of works that all contain the same five common objects. Meet the artists, tour a winery, enter to win a limited-edition giclée by Carole Böggemann Peirson, and enjoy early spring on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. You can find a map and driving directions on this site and while driving on Route 13, look for the red studio tour signs guiding you to each exhibit site.
